Mario, Yes that’s where my rear a/c is. Saved me looking up Rave. Wondered if it had separate refrigerant.

I visited mine. It's amazing that it is still there after this amount of time. And, thanks to the incredible generosity of the members of this forum, I was able to buy an auto, and a RHR door. Now I just have to arrange fitting and my D2 will ride again. Have to choose which car to sell, as Jan is no longer driving. I reckon I'll get more for the BA Fairmont Ghia with 160 ks than I will for the D2 with 300+. Well, that's how I'm going to justify it. I've missed that car.

It has been sitting for nearly three years. Apart from a very good service, does anyone have any thoughts about what needs to be done to resurrect it?

After 3 years of sitting in the street unattended it may need a new battery. Did you get your keys and fob back?

A very good chance the battery is buggered so get a new one and chuck the old one through the windscreen of old mates car, You know who I am talking about
The tyres may need looking at as well if it has just sat there for 36 months But other than some fluid changes, transmission swap and some TLC you should be able to drive Jan around in comfort in No time at all
Looking forward to seeing you D2 back on the road Mate

Didn't think about the tyres maybe they have flat spots for sitting there all those years, the hot and cold of the seasons .

You know who half inched the battery, so a new Optima will go in, to complement the Yellow top I have for the dual battery system.

I hope that the tyres have survived, as they were nearly new Maxxis Bighorns. I guess they could have flat spotted, but they are still fully inflated. Still, I have some bigger ones on the D1. I'd better be careful there though, as I don't want Jan to need a stepladder

A few weeks ago I was chasing down an intermittent momentary loss of power and found, with the aid of a nanocom, the boost solenoid was cactus so it and the delaminating hoses were replaced as well as giving the intercooler a good clean. At that point the injector loom plug and the engine loom showed no sign of oil and the power losses disappeared. I stupidly thought to myself that the car was running very well and there were no leaks or issues apart from the aircon needing a bit of gas - cold isn't as cold as it was last summer.

Today while checking things over before the really silly season I find that the injector loom plug is quite soggy as is the red plug. The current injector loom is about two and a half years old so it's probably due. Bugga.
