Some time ago I posted a vid of the same mod to demonstrate its operation. Will put up the link again ......

TC inhibit switch
https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink'sha...2&share_type=t
I don't have tapatalk to see the link, but on startup if the vehicle detects the centre diff is locked, then it will "disable" the ETC/ABS etc. This is a momentary switch that opens or closes the wire that enables the Centre diff lock position to be seen.
Does the 10 pumps of the breaks within 10 secs disable traction control on the D2? (I’m assuming not if you installed a switch). That wasn’t answered in the other thread.
I used the below as my guide. (Screen shot of another’s guide). It was pretty straight forward. Installed a momentary switch under the drivers side dash.

Installed a new serpentine belt, belt tensioner and both idlers.
All bought from RoverLord.
Great price
Great delivery
Great parts.
Thanks Mario and Heather[thumbsupbig]
Finished The Gibb River Road a couple of days ago.
Spent the past couple of days dealing with the aftermath in Kununurra.
- Lost both rear brake mudshields - corrugations lead to metal shearing around the three mounting bolts.
- Nudged a tree reversing in a tight spot and broke a lower tail light.
- Greased all unis - front 3 took a lot of grease after all the water crossings, tailshaft was fine.
- SLS decided bump stops was appropriate height for rear suspension. Used my bypassing shraeder valve to 4 mm pressfit adaptors (Thanks Pirtek!) and inflated with tyre compressor to get to civilisation. Removed compressor, cleaned exhaust valve, inspected piston, and cleaned solenoid valve block. Reassembled and now working fine. Suspect it was pressure limiting/exhaust valve getting dirty and stuck open.
- Lost the bottom two bolts that secure fuel cooler to intake manifold somewhere. Replaced.
- Fuel cooler has developed a small coolant leak.
- Looks like a slow leak from rear diff oil seal.
- ATF temperature sensor has died and/or cable has chaffed and shorted past the connector plug. Warning light always on, even on cold morning startup. Not towing so ATF temp has never been a problem before and looks like a mission (intercooler out, ATF everywhere) to replace so being ignored for now.
It was a great adventure though! And no punctures!
Good to hear you made it. Now that the state govt is subsidising flights to broome, I'm thinking of flying the family up next year, me driving up and then doing the Gibb and them flying back. I enjoyed your writeup on your website too so I'll show it to my wife to help convince her that there are things to see outside cable beach club :)
Also, I just picked up a parts car, so if you want the brake backing plates and bolts, let me know where you will be and I'll pull em off and post em up to you (they would otherwise just go to the scrappers).
