I inadvertantly backed into a steel power pole yesterday.
The rear bumper is toast as is the L hand indicator and there is a decent dent in the back panel.
I am pretty sure that it will cost more than $500 to fix this SNAFU.
My insurance excess is $500,Is it worth making a claim for this sort of damage?

An extra $100 or so and I would get a steel rear bar.
I would think so... plus the steel bar will be a lot stronger. No more breaking and cracking of those plastic corners either.
Re-fitted the A-pillar trim I took off chasing a water leak ages ago. Fought with it for a while then found an Atlantic British video on youtube. Worked perfectly.
Still on the list: adjust handbrake, fit the SLS adjuster switch, tidy up the MadMan EMS, do a service.

Project – Land Rover Discovery 2 SLS height controller
It lets you raise and lower the height between standard and bump stops. Great for loading, trailer hook up etc.
I installed the unit ages ago and it works fine. Just haven't gotten around to fitting the switch somewhere convenient.
