Emptied everything out, gave it a vacuum (been carting hay) ready for the upholstery to be cleaned tomorrow. Fitted the replacement EGT probe. Went to SuperC.... and picked up a drum of HPR5, on special till the 24th. Might even shout it a new set of lambswool seat covers..
During our mini cyclone the car alarm went off, Rock and Roll!! [bigrolf]

damn you Samsung..
oh and car locks now,, a self fixing LR !![tonguewink]
Not Samsung, hold the phone in landscape mode. Curse Apple, watch Netflix on an iPad and the sound comes from one side, no stereo. Unlike the Samsung Tab. And look at all those portrait view videos. Horrible, just horrible.
Open and close the bonnet, Pedro.
Simple job - oil change.
Thought I would use my time constructively and explore the adjustment on the steering box and perhaps get rid of the play that has been making steering a bit weavy. A slotted bolt locked with a 19 mm nut. Sounds simple.
Not very clear access but I unlocked the nut and tried to find the slot. No slot but a depression in the middle that I tried to clean out hoping for an Allen key hole or some such. Nada. Could not turn the bolt.
So I decided to unwind the nut which was stiff on the bolt and if I could get the nut and adjusting bolt out together I could cut a slot in the end, clean it all up and reassemble.
Oops. Nut winds off the top of the bolt and drops........... somewhere. Not to be found. By now the bolt has come to a hard stop and there is now about 60 degrees of play on the steering wheel.

No sign of the nut and without a slot I can't wind the bolt back in. No room to put anything on it to turn it.
Panic.
After about an hour I did find the nut, wedged well out of sight behind the thermostat.
Joy!
All I could do was wind it on and hope for the best. So I did and the play that had been there before is gone.
Job done!
Steers like a new one and luckily no stiffness or binding.
Easy peasy!
Here ya go Mate[thumbsupbig]
