    Diggers Track, Lederderg State Park

Daisy had a couple of days R&R at Lederderg State Park. We went along Diggers Track, from south to north. A bit more gnarly than I am used to. The kids in the car are all cheering saying that the Lnad Rover can go any where. (What about the driver picking the line?) Some where on the track, a tyre lost air pressure. I did not notice until we were back on a dirt road that seemed to have more corrugations than were visible. A vehicle chech found this

I hope my mate still has a contact at the tyre wholesale place!! The worst part was replacing the tyre using the bottle jack on the rear axle.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

Geez! and I thought my Yokohama's were bad!

Seriously tho, get a TPMS of ebay.
Just the cheapie ones that plug into the cig lighter socket, and uses the valve caps.

I've had mine since day dot, on my D1 works flawlessly, and has even worked to alert me of my ignorance once, which could have ended up like your tyre.

I originally had a 'better quality' in wheel types, but had nothing but trouble with it, where all 4 sensors stopped working, cost 2x as much as what I use now.
Got a exchange unit .. still sitting behind me in it's box. But the problem is to work out what's wrong needs the tyres removed!

So I got the cheapie(back then) $70 ebay one, caps on the valves .. no problems in > 60K klms and 2.5yrs.
The only downside to mine is that (from memory) the lowest warning pressure on some of these units is 15PSI, which could be a normal tyre pressure in soft deep sand.

Got my dad an even cheaper $40 set, with a solar powered display unit, works flawlessly too, only I don't like that type of display unit(personally).
    Arthur.

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!

TPMS sounds good. Thanks I was planning on taking the good lady wife on a bit of a white knuckle ride, but not without a spare.

Very nice. My family had VG, VK, CL, CM Chrysler Regal and I had mates with R and S series and Chargers. We also had a Safari for a time. The 6 cyls were awesome. The 265 in stock form was a great motor and with some minor mods became a fire breather.

    Cheers
