When I blew out an ACE hose on my D2 coming down the Karanda range I had a hose company (ENZED if memory serves) cut the flex lines off the old lines and weld on some JIC fittings and make up some new flex lines. The best part is if it happens again you can just have a new flex line made up by any hose mob and just fit it with no need to find the Land Rover lines.
I might have one of the Land Rover ACE lines (NOS) under the house. I haven't seen it in years but I'll have a look.
I'm thinking of going this route this time. Was lucky to get some good condition pipes last time which worked.
Will the hose company need to know the pressures in the system - I think it's pretty high but then most hydraulics are.
the current pipes are swaged onto the metal part then a banjo joint on the actuator.
While still saving to build a set of D series Pioneer system, I temporarily install these 2x R1 Rockford subwoofer 150W / 300W peak which are driven by a 2 channels Clarion amp 600W staying on top of my Titan rear storage drawers.
To my surprise that those 12" subwoofers really do the job quite well. Although they are considered a cheap sub but the result is definitely more than average. You can shake earthquake the whole D2 with just 1/2 volume capacity. Listening music with Spotify via Wireless Apple Carplay is really pleasant then. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...426e0e6e35.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...1292fa1ed7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d4189af1fa.jpg
Supercheap, he reckons. Look at his build thread.
I want some too.
