D2 decided after 20 years that it would let water in to driver's footwell. The surprise is that it has taken so long. Suspect the alpine windows need removing and rebonding. Anyone used any SEQ auto-glass places for this with success? Cheers
There was a fella on here recently who found it was leaking in there, running down inside of roof beam and into driver's footwell. I have looked at goo sealant in roof gutters and cleared tbe A Pillar drain hole. I cannot see any ingress points but any other info on possible specific areas of I ingress always welcome. Cheers
I'm only replying to this as ive had my roof lining out for the last week and there is a million places for that water to go before it gets anywhere near the A pillar. The only way i could imagine it gets that far is the vehicle is parked on a massive slope and facing down hill?
Do a quick google search on disco 2 gutter leak bulletin. I stumbled across it the other day. Again when my headliner was out because there was water stains on the top corner of it.

Yes, it would leak on the flat. With mine, it turned out that when I had some work done on the Disco they had removed the alpine window and reinstalled it with double sided tape and a seal instead of bonding it in and then adding the seal. And so it leaked. When I worked it out the alpine window just popped out by hand. I rebonded the window back in and ran a black silicon seal in place of the standard rubber insert and have had no problems from it since. The way the window is bonded into the roof, you will have a lot of fun trying to pull it out unless you got special glaziers tricks as it is bonded to the back of the glass, not the edges.
