Did the injector seals, still leaks, swapped injectors around, still leaks same port.
Guess I have to make a shopping list now.
When it comes to head gaskets whats best, Britpart, Bearmach, OEM ? any one that has done the AMC head replaced the lifters with new ? or any thing else thats not included ? Presume you want new rocker arm bolts injector bolts ?

Something weird happened today.
I am driving up the Cooloola beach at 60- 70 in third unlocked and locked into a stiff wind of maybe 20 kmh at about 2 o’clock ie from front right. 2002 D2 auto.
Engine temp which usually is at 84c is at 94c and suddenly goes up to 104c then comes back down to about 94. This repeats a few times.
Stopped at herringbone track and see that it actually did increase to 104 as coolant on engine mount and reservoir empty.
added about 600 mil from drink bottle and the temp down to 84 c
Temp stayed at around 84 for rest of trip to Rainbow Beach then back to Noosa North Shore.
I have a dry sensor located on the housing for the ECU sensor which is pretty accurate.
it needed another top up when I checked back at the van.
My theory is that the air through the radiator was so cool that it confused the thermostat into opening and closing.
As my wife said problems do not usually go away once there.
nNo pressure in rad hoses and no apparent leaks.
Up until now the car does not use any coolant other than say 10 mil per year.
Anyone else had something similar?
