Can't see the little springs lasting if I have to pull them out often, but I shouldn't.

That looks good. Have you tried making the clip for the fuel flap?
    Cheers

I have the print file, but I don't think I have the right filament here. I'll make one with what I have for a test.

I'm not happy with the result. It printed fine but the actual model is lacking some of the locating tabs on the back. I;ll look for another, or attempt to modify this one. The size difference is just perspective.

They would be handy to have...I broke one in the middle of Cape York last year. Wasn't fun driving around with tape holding the fuel flap. What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

I'll try that one then. Even if it's just something to chuck in the spares box.

I printed a couple. I'd be happy to drop one in next time I'm down the Gully. I just don't remember the address. I'm going to try one on mine once I make sure I can get the bloody thing open again.

I am also printing up some carling switch holders to go where the ashtray and coin tray live. I'll see how that goes. Could be cool. With any luck they'll look like this:

First print in PLA. Some minor stringing to sort out. No switches here to test fit yet.

    Changing the brake pads.

I took the entire caliper off and the pads would not fit. Found out I had the wrong pads. Drive to Hoppers to pick up the correct pads. Get home, removed just the carrier? push the piston back. One of the caliper slides was stiff so that got a bit of a clean and a bit of grease. Then fitted the pads. I noticed the the dust boot on the passenger side rear sway bar link was torn. The driver side sway bar link was broken. Now to source a pair of these.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.
