Ever close to getting This 300hp turbo fitted onto the td5IMG_6232.jpg
Big day in the garage today.
Fixed the water leak coming from the front DS corner trim as per the LR service bulletin - silicon! Leaks are now stopped
Repaired the roof lights - blown globes and broken switches
Repaired the floppy roof pockets while the roof lining was out too, the look good again with just a simple knot in each.... sort of like a face lift.
Installed interior LED globes - interestingly these are not polarised.
Replaced the GPS antenna
Replaced a broken bin on the rear door
Added a return spring to the rear door squeeze handle - this should have been done from the factory!!!!
Pretty pleased with the day!
Cheers
Slunnie

Subscriberlow pressure ps hose rubbing on the sump, so degreased and cleaned up and going to see if some self amalgamating tape and cable ties to prevent further rubbing does the trick until i can track down another

I got a new one of these pipes and the little foam insulator basically broke off just touching it trying to slide it into a better place.... useless. Also, it seems to be impossible to find that little o ring that sits inside the metal flange pipe, that is where mine was leaking from in the end.
my foam did the same haha, cable ties should do the job i reckon.
even though the pipe was rubbing on the sump i think i caught it before it rubbed through, which leads me to this o ring you speak of for the flange being the reason for the leak. can't remember where i read it but i left a post it note on my desk with the size before breaking up for the year - 17.5mm x 2.5mm , shouldnt be too hard to track one down. ill tackle it as some point soon!
Based on those dimensions a BS115 in Viton would likely do the job for you
It got new weather shields, original one was broken recently by windscreen guycould only find terrafirma ones. Like the darker colour just not how they fit at the front. Nice otherwise and think look smart
It also got a service, only just had one a week before timing gear exploded. Changed all filters and oil again now its back on the road to hopefully remove any bits of metal floating around. Cannot wait to cut the old filters open!
cheers tombie
these are a couple of threads i bookmarked mentioning the o-ring size
