I have noticed recently a diesel smell. Checked the two known places, rear green fuel line and pressure regulator.
No sign of leak. My son borrowed the car yesterday and came back saying that it has a bad leak.
Well what an understatement. The fuel hose that runs from pressure regulator along the inlet manifold and into the head.
Where it screws into the head at the front the nut had come loose and while my son had it the nut had completely come undone.
Today's job was getting it back in and tight.
Dave.
I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Well it’s been an emotional roller coaster of Discovery …… coolant pump works, holds pressure/temp and the radio is a lot lot better….camera is not yet connected and neither is the park brake override…
The journey of Discovery is not worth sharing…

Is this my computer or something wrong with the website?
Below is a screen shot of the above post.

The drivers side washer stopped again. I tried the needle method to clear the jets, to no avail. I went to remove the pipe from the washer and the connector broke, new washers are on the way, but! The tube from the junction to the washer is clogged. Ant idea what the part number is? ooh, just buy hose! Auto barn has hose.
How tricky is it to remove the old washer?

SupporterWhen you get the new ones, this will make more sense.
On the underside is a 'loop' this needs to be pressed in to unclip the front side of the washer jet(front of car, not front face of jet). Push the front side back a bit, and then up, then needs to be pulled forwards again to release the backside(washer jets side) forward to unclip it from the bonnet. The jimmy forward-backwards and up and out.
For the stupid 90 bend, I got rid of them and just run new hose from near pass side engine bay area with new T-junction at the pass jet, and hose to drivers side and plastic elbow at the drivers side.
Plastic connectors all available at the usual suspects, near you would be Autobarn/Supercheap/Repco on Millers Rd.
Arthur.
