I'm not a very nice person
And my Td5 keeps on going, no envy here
It's just I was like you once, proclaiming the infallible reliability of my car, and now it keeps breaking things

Right, I broke it while it was sitting in my carport, being serviced on the dot and getting lots of easy highway runs
Honestly guys, it's great that your td5s work great, seriously it is. They're a fantastic motor and the D2 is a sensational vehicle to drive but not everyone is so lucky the youngest is what, 12 years old? Not a young car by any means

Mine is 12 years old and does not sit in a carport . It does get serviced and it does get used on road and off road sometimes towing the camper doing both .
So it does`nt have a easy life .
How many times do you hear them D3 and D4 guy`s say the best car that had ever owned was the D2 and regret getting rid of it .
Honestly all the pedantic soles around here whinging about their cars unreliability is 9 times out of 10 caused by them or a crap mechanic or the Po
So yes they aint a spring chicken and they need to be cared for alike by the right people
