look for a oil leak from engine, until recently no leaks since November after a lot of work done, looks like tappet cover gasket so will order new one Monday
O took the trim off to get to the HVAC blower. When I got in postion to see the screws, bolts, I was too close to focus on the screws, bolts. I couldn't see them clearly. Gonna have to save my pennies and get some one else to remove the crap that is in the blower and ducts.![]()

Replaced injector harness, repaired exposed bit on engine loom where it rubbed through on inlet manifold, then replaced corrugated wire tube on engine loom.![]()

I cannot agree more.
I learnt that the hard way, I actually still have a scar from one somewhere...
Nice work though Railey. Mine has thankfully all been done, I assume when the replacement engine went in at 36k under warranty.

To secure ends of corrugated tubing and anywhere it looks like it may get untidy I use heat shrink now. Cable ties only for the mountings and rotate the ends so they sit against the bracket so they are out of harming ways. Now if only I could get a knife that sharp.......
Drove to work where Belvedere (new name) marked his territory in both red (small leak - 100 - 200ml / 1k km) and oil (negligible). Drove him home and he is now,as I type this, probably marking his territory in the driveway.
I'm pleased that the heater works well...:-)
And yes. The coolant leak will be fixed at the same time as the transmission oil gets changed in the very near future following a gearbox change a couple or a few thousand k's ago.
I hesitate to say this but Belvedere is going very well at the moment apart from a REALLY stiff gear change between 1st and 2nd and a quite stiff change from 2nd to 3rd when cold. I'm hoping a gearbox oil change will help.....hopefully... It IS slowly getting better though.
One disappointment though. Long term fuel consumption has recently broken through the 10l/100km barrier - it's now 10.1...:-(

Funny I was servicing my D2 TD5 last week and happened to touch the corrugated tubing leading the the MAF. I check on the corner of the head now and then.To secure ends of corrugated tubing and anywhere it looks like it may get untidy I use heat shrink now.
The tubing just fell apart in my fingers, so I had to replace it. It had been there about 3 years.
So it looks like there is a difference between OEM corrugated tubing and the stuff which I bought at Jaycar. Something to watch, and don't rely on it in hot locations for over about 2-3 years.( like where the OP put it)
