Today, well yesterday, after installing new o2 sensors (Thanks Justin) and getting no Voltage or STFT's I swapped the 4.6ECM for a standard 4L one and bingo, all the numbers come up and change around.
sigh.
I gather this means I've broken the 4.6 ECM somehow,,
Which also means I have to contact Mark in England I guess,, never an easy task.

Yes you were beyond the D2s recommended wading depth - did they warn or caution you about that - i hope so. I did that course a few years back and had the water rolling over the bonnet up to the windscreen whilst driving in the soupy mud pits and the river section. Some muddy water got in through join gaps in the rear door weather seals down at the floor level and got the carpet a bit wet but not worrysome. What was a concern though was when i got back home and began to clean the D2 i discovered that the airbox had injested that much muddy water that underside of the near new airfilter element was mud caked and I'm surprised the TD5 was able to breathe at alland on further inspection found that the airbox duckbill valve in the front left wheel well had gone missing. Water would have been sucked in through there as well as through the inner mudguard air intake. I was very lucky that the TD5 wasn't hydraulic(ed).
I was so green back then - now I have a snorkle and have the airbox sealed water tight.

No they didn't.
Maybe biased to the D3's and 4's who have the air intake on the drivers side.
One of the guys did comment that it was deep and that the air intake was on the passenger side, after I had gone through.
I'm still green, but not as bad as before, These Discos are really capable.

I put the tip over switch back on the firewall, it had been relocated to a brake line near the ABS brake block thing, held in with zip ties.
The car did have a second battery at some time but no battery or wiring when I had bought it. I took the tray out when I changed the engine mounts.

They will only run on 4 cylinders if you don't glow them properly in really cold temps, only having 4 glow plugs and all, but that usually only lasts a second or two.
And Scott, isn't that a D1 ad?
