When pushing it back in, the switch support panel slipped below the rim on the console. The only way to retrieve it was to undo the whole panel. The mounting point next to the hand brake is completely missing from Gorillas.

Anyway, I was able to support it a bit better as I drilled the face plate and screwed into the existing raised holes which made the under panel a bit more rigid. All the pins on mine were gone so I used my soldering iron to place holes in the centre of the bosses in the face plate then drilled holes exactly in the centre of the remaining bit of the bosses after I had cut them off flush..

Mine was not that much different as it had been worked on by Chimpanzees at some time.

    License Plate light.

I took one of these of to replace the globe. The lens was covered with green muddy goop. I think it is the copper parts that have corroded mixed with fine dust that has leaked in from a damaged gasket.

Fun times on Saturday removing the rear door card etc to replace the gasket.

Julian ,a few pics of the job would be good to help others. The rear door gasket is notorius for failing thus ruining the number plate light.
