    What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

    Earlier this year I researched an off the shelf kit to remote mount the canister oil filter in a more accessible location. Can be done for under $100. The kits are available from on shore motor sports accessory suppliers - no need to look off shore.     I like how they say ‘without spilling a drop’ when I can’t see any oil in the oil filter feed pipe or in the old filter. I wonder if they put a new filter on to demonstrate. Good idea tho

    My dad had a tool similar to this that had a strap connected to effectively a short extension, worked great ... can't find anything like it anymore ... not sure why

    Do you have more details? The only Shore Motor Sports Accessory I found was in New Jersey and they are closed.

    Finally got the spare mounted after doing the mod of inverting the wheel carrier and doing the little cut out for rear wiper


    Discovery D2a 2004 TD5 auto (current)
    Discovery 1 V8 1996 manual (gone)
    Various series Land Rovers before moving to OZ

    To me they look like standard D2 rims that have been powder coated.

    Sprayed not powder coated? Sprayed with or without tyres? Just curious
