Yep did all that youve said, was at 15psi onto the beach with diff lock and in low but i hit a bad patch of like you say talcum powder it was as soft as and deep. To get out i went under 10psi closer to 7 which is ok but wasnt happy to stay that low for the duration. It was a fun day out though

Once out the hole and pressure back up we were good all day. But you are correct tyre pressure and momentum is good on sand.
You don’t want sidewall deformation.. you want lengthening of the footprint.

That is exactly what I was thinking as I drove over Yeagarup Dunes and then along Warren Beach as far SE as the start of the Callcup Hill ascent, about 2 months ago!

No. No argument about this. It's tyre deflation 101 if you see the print left by a deflated tyre and understand what's happening when it's aired down.

For sure. LT construction just means that usually more air comes out to achieve the longitudinal elongation of the footprint. No biggie. LT's handle that fine as do.D2 stock rims with their well shaped rims. But usual caveat about airing back up somewhat when out of really soft stuff so as to avoid overheating the tyre and delamination (and popping the tyre off the rim). Cheers

Replaced the right hand mirror glass
put D1 wiper arms on so can use the simple hook type fittings
put the charger on the battery for conditioning and charge it’s been sitting in the driveway a few weeks.
