I put in a new battery so hopefully it will hold a charge for longer than a few days now.

As she had been sitting for about 6 weeks I decided to give her a wash, very dusty.
While washing the drivers side I managed to hit the piece of black trim behind the rear door window with my knuckles which snapped in the middle. So, tomorrow I will try to do a very careful glue job & see if I can make it look OK. Bloody 16 year old plastic, goes a bit brittle.

Also, tomorrow, one of my staff & I are going to see if we can sort out why the gearbox temp light is coming on? I had a crawl around under her today & there was some sort of oil under there, I am colour blind so I don't know what colour but enough to worry me.
I want her right so as soon as the powers that be let us out of town I can go to Cloncurry & see SWMBO & the kids. (And have a drink)

You can see how far that fitting had backed out.
Of course my Alemlube transfer pump pooped itself after getting 5 litres into the tranny.
I wonder if the 5l of refrigeration flushing solvent I pumped though it two weeks ago had anything to do with the seals giving out? What happened to your Discovery 2 today? What happened to your Discovery 2 today? What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Oh well, off to Repco tomorrow to get another pump, (unless I can get a seal kit)
I have a high pressure refrigeration oil transfer pump in the ute I won't be using, it only pumps 70ml/stroke anyway as it can pump against system pressure.
Its used for refilling refrig racks and AC comps while still running.

Took my youngest for a L plate drive in the 4.6. He loved it. Driving the 5 speed is so easy with that much good old fashioned torque. I had a drive too. Love having it back and running so sweetly.

    Cheers

Think I just caught it before it burst so a good save. Had a good look over the rest of the hoses and all looks fine

If you buy an genuine top hose it doesn't hit the AC lines

    Well mine lives!

The transmission is shifting sweetly, but I'll do a dump, filter and refill next weekend plus take an oil sample.

I now have a bent tie rod to deal with.
    Thanks Mr Towie!

    I questioned the hook placement
"It'll be right, that's only as a safety, it's pulling off the other one..." What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

D2 tie rods are a bigger diameter than a Deefer/D1/RRC, but Maxi-Drive are bigger again. What happened to your Discovery 2 today?
I just needed the excuse. What happened to your Discovery 2 today?
