Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

    Brake lines

I have replaced three of the four brake lines. I had to stop as it was getting too dark. The headlights on the cars going past are a bit of a give away. I am also swapping the tyres over for the "AT's" I call them road tyres, as they are not really all terrains. Tomorrow I will finish off and also replace the front disc rotors. I only bough these in May. 2019.

Changed out all the intercooler hoses for silicone ones. Other than the +15hp gain for the colour alone the old ones were looking really tired and the intake end one was crumbling when I did the egr removal. Turns out you could see them splitting from the inside too, some how it was still making boost. Snapped the overflow tank hose (not the first time as the PO has bodged it together with heater hose) so thought I'd replace it with some hose. Which is where everything went wrong, snapped the barb on the radiator side tank :/. Was thinking the hose was a bit tight but okay turns out it's 5/8 fuel hose not 8mm heat hose like I asked for.

The radiator is going to have to come out any way but should I change the thermostat while it's reasonably easy to get to?

How long has the old one been in? I'd say yes, I did, I bouhgt a new thermostat pror to changing the radiator, and about 2 weeks before I changed the radiator, the old on failed.

I broke my barb fitting along time ago, screwed in 1/4 inch brass barb ran some hose to header tank worked a charm for along time. Other had a bit of a leak there, undone clamp pulled on hose and out came the barb, thread finally let go, ordered new radiator from our good friends Mario&Heather, now used araldite till it arrives .

Finally changed the brake lines, wheels and the front rotors. Tomorrow bleed the brakes, then a test run. I have a litre of brake fluid and a Nanocom and I am not afraid to use it.

Not sure, less than 20 years as some of the hose clamps aren't spring* clamps. Will likely do it when the engine comes out (rear crankshaft seal) and budget for all new hoses at the same time

*Dunno what the hate for them is, once you buy the tool they're easy. Plus you see why they're normally at odd angles cos that's what works with the tool

Hoping I can get away with that.
