These can fit 4 large cables pretty easily when you put 2 on each side.

Personally, I'm always a bit suspicious of claims of "Mil Spec" and "Superior Quality". I prefer stuff I can feel and inspect before I buy.

Anyway fpr works and now I need a new air con clutch bolt.
Wife said the air con didn’t work last night....
Anyone know the size by chance?
Fixed air con clutch with a standard 10mm bolt and loftier.....wonder how long it will last?

Replaced Optima D34 blue starting battery with Exide XDIN66HDML Extreme wet battery in ARB cradle on firewall.

I had to modify the ARB cradle to fit the 277MM length of the DIN 66 High battery.

The Optima was only 3 years old but would only hold maximum 12.6 volts at shutdown.

The Exide wet battery shows 12.85 2.5 hours after shutdown.
The Exide is 750CCA Vs Optima 810 CCA but much longer reserve than Optima. One thing I noticed is that Optima 810CCA only holds for 5 seconds.

It is a tight fit but nothing near underside of bonnet AFAIK.
    So far so good
    Regards PhilipA

Amazon has free returns if you aren't satisfied with the quality. They even pick it up from your house for you.

New tensioner, auxiliary bracket O ring, and water pump installed.
Removed half the hoses and slipped that big plug in the side of the head out and used some Stag on the threads to seal it (coolant was tracking past) and the machined exhaust manifold is back on.

Have to say the the old genuine OAT and Cummins coolant from the last three years have done their job, everything is super clean in the water passages.

Tomorrow the new rad, hoses, and t/stat go in.

It'll be nice to have the old girl back on the road.

Give me a Defender to work on any day!

Meccano sets are so simple What happened to your Discovery 2 today?
They remind me of race cars, easily accessible assemblies that pull apart quickly.

when i fitted my camera i had it angled so i got rear view and could see the tow ball also, made life so much easier to hook up trailers in 1 go. a small discreet alloy bracket above the tail gate door frame hidden from view. my monitor fit into the the space where you have yours, but i removed that panel cover and used velcro on the monitor lip and it fitted more flush

It's a relative thing, when I get a D2 in , it's almost a joy to work on compared to the later offerings..............even with the body off things like turbos / manifolds aren't easy
