A couple of days ago the thermostat in my D2 decided to have a hissy fit and get stuck open. Looks like running temperature, according to nanocom, is about 70 deg C. Ambient was about 13 deg C. As I said in the other thread, the cooling system probably needs a good flush anyway. We’ll be home tomorrow - about 500km won’t kill it.
Cheers,

Just got delivered two rear wiper arms and blades- $18 each new off ebay and two days delivery- both the D2 and D2a have weak springs and don't wipe the upper reaches of the screen. Am going to be installing a rear vision camera hanging down off the Rear interior Stop light, the wiper needs to clean the area to maintain good sight out back.
As I am in the prep for the headlining removal just waiting on the 315Mhz receiver from the states. A hell of a lot cheaper buying the new 315Mhz SLS plipper ($100 new from states), a second hand key and receiver which worked out at just under $250 all up. With the RTT been levelling out with using the SLS ORH switch and turning the ignition off once its level, but with the Plip will also be able to level it by lowering as well as required, this is of course applicable to the the table on the rear door.
Two Anderson plugs on leads done installed behind the vent in the rear and making a bracket for the ARB compressor to go on the removed rear seat bolts. Contemplated a tank as well but with the 4 wheel inflation made, the benefit of a tank is not really there, that is filling the tank whilst changing a single inflator works as you go wheel to wheel but the tank would only be filled once with the 4 way.

Replaced Fuel valve & injector seals/washers
That makes fuel pump, fuel cooler, fuel valve & injector seals/washers in that order.
Soon as you changed one seemed to send a signal to the others to play up.
Autofarm did the work and seem to think i should get some reliability back now after working thru a few things.
Got some matching hard to get black fabric for the drivers seat from TRS in Adelaide - service was amazing.
Mitchell Motor Trimmers in Kilmore retrimmed the seat and got it looking and feeling amazing for a very reasonable sum.
Cheers

Simon is that a double pump or a single pump (choose the double as doing all four tyres at once)? Haven't removed the obsolete CD changer from there but that is no biggie if I get a massage function for the front seat!
Am actually hooking it up to a Jflex Auto Tyre inflator, like the inflators at a Petrol station, does inflation and deflation without the annoying checking and got it when I first started looking at the build. Sort of laughed when I saw it was an option on the new Defender.

Its a bit bigger than I thought but now I have got it, why not. Taking it apart tomorrow as it appears that the circuit board is just 12V (see the pdf page 8) so removing the 240V supply and wiring it in. If its not 12V will just use it with the invertor

Dunno, which model you have, but you could have saved yourself the mucking about and gone with the ARB kit that just plugs into your compressor. And you just use your phone(app) to set it to do its thing.
Roughly $300ish from memory.
ARB Pressure Control
I've contemplated it myself .. just don't need it(yet!)
I do have a JFlex tyre inflator tho.. for the shed. Had it ephemerally fitted in the shed for a while now(had to connect/disconnect it as needed). Works well and accurate that I can measure. Just slightly over loud on its beeps, but I've managed so far.
I only just got around to hard fitting it all now with permanent air from the compressor.
Also, Jamec Pem have handheld auto inflators too(like the wall mounted stuff, just hand held connects to your compressor). Approx $250 on ebay for some models.

Have seen that ARB app et all but at the time it was not available when I got it.
Nor was the handheld nice unit I bet . From memory the JFlex was only about $120 which would have been at least 3 years ago and came with a pretty good hose as well.
Just on their 'manifolds' bit of a shame they are using the single point chucks for the money they are charging would think the three point slip fittings more appropriate.

It also gives me the heads up of sorts that the unit is 12V though as the handheld rechargeable unit is 12V, thanks Arthur
