Essentially they just lift the lever higher so shortening the throw but yes increasing the force required, not that I really noticed a big change.
The D2 kit just does this with an approx 7-8mm spacer and the blue alloy bias plate which allows the shifter to be retained in that position. The Defender kit replaces the shifter which the gearstick attaches to with a taller model and a spacer of nearly an inch.
Will report on the effectiveness once the master and slave cylinders arrive and changed out.....
The Defender one, however, I rate highly.![]()
