What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

All four corners now have rotors, pads yellow stuff), calliper rebuild (painted yellow) and the master cylinder replaced…. It’s stops when I want it to. Classify that a success.

Rocker cover gasket replaced with some RTV to assist with the rear D, didn’t go smoothly but hopeful….

And the front ACE actuator seems to be leaking… what’s the go with repair/replacing… ??
can a hydraulic specialist rebuild them?

Boonah is starting to get expensive to buy houses. 1 acre blocks near my place up to $400,000. Houses on acreage $700,000 to $1.2 m. But small lot suburban less of course. Great town though. Still got to be careful what you say plenty still related to each other. A few LR fans around town. Is expanding fairly quickly.

Found that out.... Worse in Kalbar and Peak Crossing, not to mention Roadvale. I really like it out at Maroon. When I'm not crook I'm driving up. Someone to see, some wheels to deliver.

It got sworn at. Chastised. It’s been going well ( oh oh ), but needs stuff. Well, it’s a D2. It’ll get some TLC when I get over the last few months.

Oh yeah, today. Heading off for some more work on me. Approached the car and pressed the fob. Nothing. Well, the little light on the fob lit up, but otherwise nothing. Many presses later I decided to open it with the key. Huh. Red security led stayed on and of course no start. Terrific. Ok, try the fob again before panicking ( doesn’t do to be late at hospitals) and it clicked. Not clunked as it was already unlocked. Started as normal. About nine months ago I fitted a new another RF receiver and it has been fine.

Sigh. If I am going to have security problems I suppose I should be grateful it’s not a P38

Nanocom when I get home but I doubt it will help.

Been having some issues with the fifth door not closing properly. I suppose that could be related.

And now after stopping the oil leak on the rocket cover, brake rebuild…… the starter motor starts clicking…..despite being eleven point 8 volts being provided….
As per a LR owner I bought a second hand one a few years back and have the rebuild kit sitting next to it in the box….
    I know what I am doing Sunday….

I will eventually get to the ACE ram and sealing the roof leak…..
    And still only 199,936 km

Hope you’ve got a set of wobble extensions. The top fastener is a PITA.

Yep, between AULRO forums, YouTube and my 1/4’, 3/8’ and 1/2’ socket sets I achieved a successful lowish stress change over….
The top nut was very tight suggesting it was original.
Rebuild kits are cheap, will now rebuild the original and keep it on the shelf…

Now to find weekends to do the leaking roof, ace ram and whatever else comes up in the meantime…..

    New drawers

I have installed a pair of Kings Drawers.
    IMG_20250216_161358657.jpg

Interestingly the mounting rails are have different spacings, the holes to mount the drawers do not match up. Not really an issue at the top draw is an "interference fit" The top plywood plate is very tight against the drawer. It is not going any where. After the install, I read the instructions, the mounting rails are moveable, I guess that when manufactured they bung them in, at close to the same place, or not. No expense spared on a jig!
As for Kings! My sone and I bought 2 each. 2 have gone back as the bearings are shot. Noisy and stiff to open. If they do not replace the drawers, We will replace the bearings. These were $109, cheap but with a variable quality. And a free gift, I got a pair of LED work lights!

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.
