He is just starting to find the time to get back into it.

No pics, I just cut the back off, started preparing everything and then ran out of commitment to the project.

There’s a stack of good gear on it, including a strong engine, VNT, High Performance Stall converter, 7100 billies, the dual tanks, sill sliders, 4.11s, 4” Lovells, 33s, ARB bar etc…. So Muppet will pull what he wants out of it.

All the kit! If the cab was done, I was going to make him an offer on that part. I've got a 110 Chassis I'm trying to lock down a build on.

Still doing some bits and bobs on the D2a. Today, replaced the HVAC fan resistor. All speeds now work

Also got down and under and used the bolt extractor set I got off ebay to remove the two rounded bolts holding up the front cross member.
Looked a bit dodgy at first, but better, harder and more wholloping with a progressively bigger masher got the bit onto the rounded heads more securely .... and slowly came loose without snapping at the threads!(yay!)
Took all 8 bolts out and gave them all a smidge of anti-sieze and back on. Now, next time I have to remove it to 'de-cat' it ... it's coming off ... no question!

Also swapped out the two broken rear bumper upper corners pieces, with the two better ones ... amazing how two stupid trim pieces makes the car look so much nicer.

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!

Agree 100% mine has a steel bar and was missing the trim bits, found a new pair on Ebay at a good price, took a bit of messing around to fit correctly but now looks "finished"

    cheers

Mine currently has a D1 rear bar, because my old one was made of eggshells. It was cobbled together quickly for RWC purposes. It's crude, but I still like it.. And, No, it doesn't just "bolt up".. Of course it doesn't.

    ....
Car LHS corner with large cracked and missing sections, RHS gone walkabout.
I had a couple of good ones from a parts car.

Gave them a quick wipe down and wipe over with some plastic/rubber restorer stuff, and shouldn't have. They look all shiny and new, but bumper looks old and faded now.
Still plastic rear bumper and all in one piece too.
When motivation level hits more than 0.01% again, I may give it a wash and 'have' to restore bumper plastic to same condition as the corner bits.
