Which is why I got rid of the fuel cooler, after reading the TSB with the mods to suit the later radiators, that fuel cooler does nothing but sit there to keep the spanner men/women looking at a familiar layout of hoses.
Pointless having a fuel 'cooler' now running at radiator temp when its job was to lower the temp of the diesel going back to the tank as the original radiators bottom separate section ran cooler than the regulated upper section.
I ditched it few years back soon as I saw that TSB, fuel temp has always been ok, plenty of nanologs in the first 18 months of ownership, and when I did coolant layout mods.
Now I just get in it and drive coz the only true issue is the same all vehicles suffer, owner neglect in keeping on top of things.
EDIT: If you are lucky enough to have a 2 section radiator KEEP the fuel cooler, it works as designed and is a good thing.
EDIT (couldn't change the pic in my previous reply)
IMG20251114161717.jpg Here's the pic I took today with the reverse light in place, as my comment didn't make sense with the pre light pic. I haven't decided on any rear bumper upgrade as yet. Preference is to weld up my own and learn some fabricating skills, but I'm never in a hurry.
Topside switch pre injection fault.... No injector codes. Sigh..
Started once, ran like crap.Won't start now. Just kicks.

Hmm.. I replaced the wiring from the CPS to the ECU. Would getting them crossed cause the fault? I sprayed the red plug because, well you know. Maybe I'll go and dry it...

Took the ecu out and opened it, it was dry. Dried the red plug. I've had it running and idling. Then the M&S flashing, the MIL is on. Nanocom reports no engine fault anymore, apart from the permanent air flow one, but the trans reports cam signal faults and clearing them does nothing.. Sigh, Right now it won't start, but when it did the accel pedal did nothing. I'll go over the wiring tomorrow. This all started with the new cps wiring. I used shielded flex, and it has run.
I've had enough for today. It won't beat me, but it can wait.

One more try. Pulled the Red plug and put it back. Vroom! Cleared the faults again and it’s all good. One thing came to mind though, in the course of doing all the stuff I had the radio on and had to charge the battery. Never caused me issues before, but it IS a D2
