Nice work, mate. Hope all ends well.

I'm almost done with removing LPG from mine, all but ignition leads done (relocated coil packs to passenger side firewall). Swapped in ECM harness, fuel tank and inlet manifold from donor vehicle. Noticed upper manifolds were different.

Can you tell me if yours has this plate on the base? I'm guessing it's purpose was to lift the upper manifold higher to clear LPG lines tapped into lower manifold.

    Cheers.

    So not on yours?

My donor vehicle is a high comp 4L. My vehicle is low comp 4L. If not to accomodate gas, thought riser plate may have been explained by different comp ratios (but don't know why).

    Thanks mate.

Not on mine mate. Seen a couple of intakes and not seen a riser except on LPG. Can't see that it would be for low comp.

    Cheers

I thought this discussion had been had on the forum a few times now - the majority of Disco 2 4.0s sold in Aust were low comp (V8s sold in North America were all HC as were most in the UK) - plenty of people on here have low comp 4.0s - the source engine for my 4.6 built was a low comp engine.

Can you confirm that the spark plug lead contact arrangement on the standard coil pack is a single pin inside the hole?

    Like this

These are the coil packs I have and was concerned I had the wrong ones because of the spark plug single pin contact that does not accept "standard traditional" leads like you would have on a dizzy.

If so I just need a new set of leads.

    Thanks

Yes mate, spot on. And yep leads at coil pack end have to be the special jobbies with little connector and what appears to be a ceramic insulator held on by a little wire not the ones for a dizzy. Cheers
