Julian, as I said earlier... totally agree its too damn fast..... but the comparison of HDC Vs Engine braking is mad... if you are on a hill you think you need HDC ....you should be using both!! It's definitely not a choice of one or the other.

You have to splice in with a switched live into the reverse input to C0504-7 as to make the SLABS "think" it's in reverse then the minimum target speed becomes 5.6km/h.... the reverse lights will come on with a simple switch(wasnt a problem for me) but if you want them to rest you'll need a two way on/off/on toggle switch to route the original circuit through one contact and the live through the other as when you switch the live to the SLABS the link to the lamps to be interrupted if you see what i mean... i simply swicthed the live to it and didnt bother about the reverse lamps being on with HDC

Mine must work different to yours then because I find it is too slow, except on the steepest of hills, once it finally kicks in.
I haven't been spoilt by newer and better versions however.

Sure it is- HDC is rubbish -no need to find out why it isnt working...although I have a theory the 4wd action boys may have designed the parameters

    Laney,
It was asked earlier if you heard beeps when pressing HDC in Hi range.
Firstly an obvious question. Are you engaging the HDC correctly i.e in low range when attempting to use HDC?
Secondly if the above is correct- recommend someone plug in their Nano for you and check settings/faults and outputs.
HDC may be disabled in the settings or the HDC relay may be faulty.

    cheers

You could check the brake switch hasn't been knocked out of adjustment when the brake fluid was changed.

When this happens the brake lights stay on which might effect HDC.

Docs indicate that the shuttle valve switch which turns off HDC when brakes are pressed, but if there a no amigos that can't really be the cause...
