Further update Triumph Rover spares rang back this morning told me that new replacement tranny hoses are no longer available for the D2 V8's! They are sending the best 2nd hand ones they have not sure if it applies to the TD5's but does anybody know if there is a company who can replace the flexible sections or are we better off replacing with after market cooler kits?

Are you still in Darwin and have the hose's . ? I have a hydraulic guy we use who makes hose's , I could get him to have a look and see if its possible. He would need hose's to work off so the old set if you still have them. No guarantee but well worth a try.

Give me a call tomorrow if you want to give it a try 0418 893 424

Adrian, if I remember, I'll check with MRAutomotives tomorrow for their perspective. I need to chat with them anyway about some other parts.

Wonder if any of the vendors here can advise and provide.

Interestingly those D2 auto hoses we removed ran for the most part the same route as hoses on a D1 TDi300 auto. The only real difference seemingly being the (poxy) garden hose fitting style termination (that we wrestled with for hours) to a cooler sandwiched between your aircon and engine radiator. I still have that D1 v8 cooler if you end up needing something.

Do you remember me mentioning I was having some tractor hydraulic hoses made up. Well, the same guy is refurbishing for me a set of lines to suit the D1 TDi300 auto, such that I no longer have to buy complete units when they wear out, just replace the rubber bit in between the steel ends - good old two spanner set ups. If Ean's lead does not work out then we can talk to the guy I'm using.

Just off the phone to MRAutomotives. Apparently the hoses for the V8 are no longer listed in something called the Microcat, sounds like a catalogue of all things automotive. Suggestion was you may need to get the hoses out of the UK, ie Paddocks.

I go to lrparts.ru/engl. They seem to have problems with their site.
There is some where a download but it works on Windows XP not win 7 etc.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.
