Some of the photos in the thread show the old o-rings looking pretty ordinary, so I'll hold on.

I've got a few other things that aren't quite ready for the new core - want to install an EGT probe in the manifold while the turbo is off, but I haven't quite finished the EGT code for my data logger yet, so want to get that done - not necessary but nice.
Plus I'm still messing around with the WGM and it's nice to have the same baseline setup while I'm doing that.

The comment about performance was a bit tongue in cheek.

    mine got through unopened.

I have noticed higher EGTs by about 10%. However, I did up my tyre size from 245 to 265 in an auto, so I'm guessing that is making it work a bit harder.

I haven't heard back from Jose for 3 weeks now. So not sure what to do remap wise.

    Mine also arrived unopened.

Dont hold your breath with Jose, I'm still waiting for a reply to an email that I sent to him on 9th August. I didn't even mention I had a different turbo, just wanted some adjustments made to a MAP he did a while back.

Well I think I've been defeated for yhe evening. Ive tried everything to get the old core out of the exhause housing and it won't budge.

Here's hoping an overnight soak wiyh super penetrant does the trick althougj I'm not holding my breath.

Anybody else have a seriously stuck core?

I have done a few and they all came out with at the most a couple of gentle tap`s with a dead blow hammer

The hammer has well and truly been put to good use, to no avail

Lol yes. The bolts came out without trouble. Going to try a process of heating and cooling tomorrow to see if that frees it up.

Has anyone else had trouble fitting these cartridges. When I tightened the four bolts on the housing the turbo binds 😩
