* As already said, rear step for entry to the rear seats.
* cruise control on/off switch. I like it's always on position design(when you set it to on) as I'm a heavy use of cruise control .. most other cars have those temporary on/off switches that need to be switched back on again after every shutdown(which I hate).
* I'm pretty sure a Classic is the D2a .. marketing guff from LR. If I remember right, the RR up until that point was only the RR, not RRC. it was when the P38A came out that what we all knew as the RR, suddenly became the RRC.(or something else to that effect).
* Pretty much. Not too expensive to change, and 'relatively' easy to do too.
* Pretty much. 3 here and all worn at the tops. Whether this is from over use of one handedness, or possibly UV exposure .. or both. My D1 had the same worn issue(I replaced with an old leather 'sports' wheel, as my D1 doesn't have airbags. if it's only just starting to wear the wheel, it seems to rapidly decline from that point on. No idea on what a quick and easy fix is tho.
* my upper tailgate lights didn't work, so I attacked them with lots of CRC and a good cleanout. Strange design when you pull 'em apart. the entire unit comes out from the face side, then multiple small screws hold the rear metal section to the lens section.
about a month or so ago, my brothers had no brake lights. I immediately thought brake light switch. Pulled one from the parts car, replaced .. still no brake lights! tracked wiring from here to there and back a few times .. all seemingly good!
After an hour or so .. thought to check the bulbs themselves(doh!) .. what's the chances

Anyhow .. actual tailight bulbs were both good, but needed a high mount bulb .. high mount now working, but still no tailight brake light bulbs(note that tailights were working).
Attack of the CRC part II on the metal part(as per with my D2) .. and at one point I got a flicker of light. more CRC, removal and replacement of bulb .. and finally all working again.

Why? No idea, but I suspect just slightly dodgy (brake light)bulb sockets.
Most I've seen have towbars fitted. Actually, every single one I've seen or gone to see, or had bookmarked on a sales site have towbars .. more common than not. if it doesn't have one, I think they're common enough to find a S/H one(I even have one, maybe for sale one day).
All I know with respect to ride comfort, it's going to be whatever you want it too be.
My brother's is super comfy,. no idea on what springs/shocks a previous owner installed, but it's very nice over any road surface I've been with it. My D1 is harder(hard springs and shocks).
My 'parts D2' had (old model)Mini rock hard suspension. Parts D2 was driven back on a temp reg issue, just to get it home. All freeway, basically smooth stuff.
Whatever idiot decided to use the no name YELLOW shocks it has, they must have immediately sold it to someone that then killed the motor(head gasket) from who I got it from. Harder ride than most gokarts I've played with!
No idea on the brand of shocks .. but they've totally killed the ride.
So ride comfort is what you want it to be.
In terms of space/room comfort, I think the manual seated models have less room than the electric seated models. I find the D2 more cramped in terms of legroom compared to the D1!!
Both brothers and my Part car have not only less room, but also shorter seat bases.
Note that I'm particularly sensitive to legroom seat base comfort due to my bung knee. My D2, with electric seats on the other hand is far more comfy than the D2, and my D1. Only problem is that it's not moving fore/aft(yet) .. plus that it's still a project car and not quite yet ready to get reg. I think the additional height adjustment in the electric seat option makes it more comfy.
