No problems at all since turning off the immobilizer...
Give it a bit more time and see how it goes. thankfully i live rural...

ok, still had this problem even with immobilizer off.
the wire from the starter solenoid is red/brown, i traced this back to the fuse block in the engine bay,(easier than it sounds) the red/brown wire plugs into a male fitting on the fuse block, the wire obviously has a female plug on it, this connection was loose, so simply squashing the female plug a little and refitting seems to have fixed the problem.
