    I have no idea what type l have, it's a late D2a.
I have two keys, both work, sort of. The key i use is glued together , the other has a buggered contact, but otherwise works.
If l can get another board alone, or complete, I can then transfer the other board to one of the new cases I have.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

As well as the new key I linked I also bought 2 repair kits which had the cases, battery and 2 new buttons to solder on for about $4 each. I changed the buttons over and put the new board and key into the new cases so have 3 working keys/fobs.

I did try a flip key case as well which the board goes into, I just need to get the locksmith to have another look at the key on it as I don't think it is cut quite right so I think I will just stay with the original style.

Hi all, sorry to revisit an oldish thread, but I would really like to get one or two new keys without the massive price tag of oem. I have a 99 D2 (in retrospect I should have got a D2a ... ) so am guessing 315mhz, does anyone know where I can buy some working secondhand ones from ? Would a late model BCU be an option, so I can upgrade to 433mhz ? If yes, then that means I need a BCU, ECU & TCU (a LOT of CU's) in order to get my ideal setup ...

Its not that old, why would you buy secondhand, I bought new for $60-$70 off an EBay seller in Brisbane, there was also a seller in Sydney in that price range, I think I may have the url saved at home. You will just need a way of programming them into the car.

First of all you will need to find out your frequency, I haven't pulled mine out of the dash but as I had an old (broken) fob I knew I had 433MHz and it is a early 2000 D2.
