Checked the silly Inertia switch thing
Checked the silly Inertia switch thing
No, I was told it didn't need to be coded straight away for it to run/not run. And the other injectors literally didn't make any difference. Exactly the same winding over/no firing to my old/existing injectors? As I said, I don't have a nanocom here in Geelong, hence why I thought i'd ask if anyone did to code my old/existing ecu back to the car (which the other guy said didn't need doing?) Sorry mate, should've been clearer with my original reply
There used to be a map or list of members with namocom on here somewhere il try find it.
Il be down there but not for 2 weekends so I'm not much good to you
Error 404 (Not Found)!!1
See if that works, it's in electronic diagnostics section of forum, I'm on my phone so cant seem to open
I have read before about harnesses rubbing through under the coolant header tank on ACE plumbing so have a look at that and the Crank sensor loom. Mine (TD5 D2 manual) has a very intermittent Miss that I can't track down yet but I do know that it NEVER does it on Cruise control but that is another story altogether
Good luck

Mate i bought a BA Falcon wagon to get too/from work, i'm not remotely in a hurry. But that being said, I certainly don't want to put anyone out and expect them to interrupt a holiday mate. But i'd happily sling you some cash or beers for your trouble if it doesn't effect your plans.
Measure the battery voltage whie cranking if it drops below 10V the starter motor has an internal short which creates a too big drain or it can disturb thec crank signal too and the ECU needs above 10V to open the injectors while the starter will still spin fast even at 9V left... can you feel any diesel smell at the exhaust while cranking? if not the problem is with low voltage or bad crank signal and the injectors are not opened at all
Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
I head down to Geelong now and again as the learner needs to increase his hours. We're heading that way tonight, pm me if convenient.

G'day mate, yeah i read that a couple of times. The whole entire engine loom has been out and every cm checked and tested by a sparky. I was hoping it was something like that, but so far no luck in that respect. I did read something about cutting out/etc and never doing it on cruise control possibly meaning the throttle pedal? (I did change that a year or so back too trying to track down a similar problem.......)
