Personally I think that would be unwise. ie. If the Inertia Switch is missing then a closer inspection may reveal that it has been bridged out therefore you would have no protection in the case of a prang, so your Fuel Pump & door functions may not activate. You hazards might be helpful also.
If bridged out, your protections are null & void & with a fire in the engine space & with the fuel Pump still going like the clappers how are you going to evacuate?
If it was mine it would be the first thing I'd replace but hey, it's your car. Well it still will be, even though it may be a smoking black wreck with a stiff or two locked inside. Why not have it 110% identified by a good Auto Sparky?![]()
