I got desperate. No fan isn't an issue on highway, but I've got an off road weekend planned over Easter.

I am aware that the OEM fans are expensive But considering that the original lasted 14 years I went with a OEM replacement fan in 2018 when it carked it on my D2a, Still going strong (So far so good)

I take that approach with other things, like start batteries. Thing lasts five years, must start the car a million times, costs around $200 ish and people want to scrimp on a few $$$? I am by no means well off, bu that sort of 'economy' strikes me as dumb.

You are aware that tyre and battery manufacturers make batches of product, to a higher standard than that supplied to the retail trade, for vehicle manufacturers?
