The Valeo BCU stuff has various ways of annoying. Mine will be fine for days, then get all sullen and refuse to answer the call of the fob, also for days. Sometimes opening it with the key fixes it, and sometimes not. Usually when it's raining, or my hands are full with shopping🤬. Nanocom always says Keypress detected when I check, which is a pity because before I fixed the diagnostic plug I bought another RF receiver. There's some issue in the BCU I guess. Not going down that rabbit hole.

I finally got the fob programmed and put the nice new back on it. The light kept flashing! I put on the old scratched back and no flashing.
Thanks to the input on how to fix this, I thought I was up for a new fob.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

If your old fob is a Valeo, and your shiny new one an eBay special, it very likely won't fit.

    Glad you got it sorted.
