You can buy conformal coating...... And, IF it was done it was 24 years ago.

I'm not welded to the idea that it was btw. When funds allow I want to modernise it anyway.

are the new looms oil tight?

I watched a U tube vid where some bloke filled the frontside (underneath side) of the injector harness plug ( up to the pin base) with epoxy to stop the oil seeping through.

No they are not, there are aftermarkets which can leak in no time, genuine LRs last the most but you can improvise many ways to stop the oil getting to the ECU but the problem is when oil gets into the plugs on the solenoids between the male and female pins and acts as an isolator there... there was a "sealed" version on the market at a point but not available anymore for some reason... the manufacturer was not pleased how much they sold or got bad reviews, i dont know, they say "to slow/prevent oil...." Td5 Sealed Injector harness / Injector Loom AMR6103 so it seems not for life anyway... it should be considered a kind of a medium term service item IMO

Try Davis Performance. They used to do a sealed loom. I've had one installed years ago and so far that has been the end of the issue for me (touch wood!)

I actually tried to seal the genuine harness at the plug with RTV. I was disappointed to find oil still there, but sf confirmed my belief that the oil there atm is a remnant from before... Time will tell.

Can you get a pic of the sticker on the ECU as well please?

A lot of the remapped MSBs I've seen(or even all) are that revision.

So that ECU revision number and the tune version don't match, that means someone has fiddled.
