Gnarly, rad, wicked, sick, fully sick, ace, ill.

For those born before 1955, it basically means "the bees knees".

Thanks Lionel, I was in the ballpark, thinking it complimentary rather than derogatory.

    Yes, Slunnie,

I was just thinking of the origins of a similar expression.. where did "Just the duck's guts" come from?

So far the best explanation that I can come up with still leaves a lot to be desired - more of examples of how the term is used, Not so much its word origins ... the term's "Etiology" Please see 20th February 2025 from, https://www.wordsense.eu/duck's_guts/

    Kind regards

Slightly more on topic, for the lazy AF they're 47AUD (40 each for 2)+28AUD for shipping if you want one. The ultra gauge ones also look very smick but unhelpful for anyone with a td5

A term for use in polite company, the other rhyming term is Australian sarcasm.

I have been following a company in America called Golden Rovers for just over 12 months now. They have just released gauge pod mounts for D2 and D1 that clip on to the a pillar. I wish this was available a few years ago and I am surprised no other company ever did it.

    here is the link.
Discovery 2 Stackable Gauge Pod Mount
    – Golden Rovers

I fitted similar type gauge pod years ago for ECT and EGT gauges, cheaper and better made even though it's universal, fits well just a slight adjustment is needed, there are simple, double, tripple, as you want, example: 52mm UNIVERSAL RIGHT HAND DRIVE RHD DUAL 2 GAUGE A PILLAR POD MOUNT | eBay IMO if you fit gauges into those shown in the Golden Rover link seems that the back of the gauge with the wiring would be exposed and look bad, here's mine(RHD should look the same) the wires have a way beneath the pod and they come out at the bottom.

Usually GR have top-quality stuff, but I have to agree with you here this product is a bit of a let down for their usual standard. Pretty much all gauge pods made for other makes hide the wiring yet we get three cupholders turned 90 degrees
