Thread: Show us your D2, PICS only.

Attached a couple of photos of the 'truck' as it is known in the family. I broke the rear diff on one of my first 4wd outings when I was foolishly 'tempted' to have a crack at the infamous 'Rocky Track' in Toolangi and forgot to engage the diff lock ! At least I was able to limp home, it took us about 15 snatches to get me up to a point where I could turn around ! Replaced Rear axle (nice big hole in the rear diff where the pin 'shot out' on way home and back on the road in Wyperfeld National Park.


Mods to date: Tight budget, so 245/75/16 tyres (BFG's front, Coopers on the rear, purchased second hand from Aulro member), EGR and mid-muffler removed. New stereo head unit, Sony speakers and under-seat sub (love my music). Re-map from TD5 inside planned once have installed the EGT gauge and find a friendly nanocom owner. Love this forum.

The Discovery in the wild.

Since the mag is out I guess I can finally share a few pics from the 4wd Action shoot.

After all the time and questions and cost! The D2 took me from Canberra to Cairns via Cameron Corner and must of western QLD.

This is in a dry lake or river bed not far from the Corner.
