At long long last, in fact nearly 3 years of searching and missing out, I have found and bought my first D2. Completely box standard Td5 classic one owner with 90k, never ever been off road or been used for towing. still needs the usual faults rectified incl sls bags, roof lining, oil leaks etc. apart from that we are loving it.

Drove our new 2004 td5 discovery classic home today. Basic quick shot in the rain at home. Pretty stoked with it, last owner really took care of it and added some cool mods. Have to take some action pics soon. Completely new to the land rover world :)

My first Land Rover. Couldn't be happier already had a few things done like the Cdl, lift etc. looking forward to testing it out

Took my wife and my son around some of the tracks at yalwal with some friends at nowra today. Kept it mostly to the tame tracks but still got some fun low range in . The TD5 engine amazed the hell outta me.

Hesitantly I recently upgraded my daily driver D1 to a D2 TD5, and i absolutely love it, could not be happier.
Plan is an 'all-rounder' a daily driver that can still do camping / touring / tow the bikes and gear around and some wheeling ( i still have the rangie for hard trips)

still have an ARB bar, a runva winch and snorkel to go on when i get some free time, but i do like the 'naked' look at the moment!
