Still pretty much stock standard. Rhino rack is new (since I posted my last pic anyway). Custom ashtray iPod dock. New SLS bags, and Shamos old compressor. Some wheel nuts from Baffle. A couple of smelly dogs, and several kilos of dirt and sand. Hmm.. that's about the extent of my mods so far!

Nice mountain though. Mt Barney I think

Purring like a kitten! err.. well rattling like a kitten. Hmm a really really dirty kitten! Yeap mate, got me out of trouble. Thanks again! It showed up some my disco's history too.. my old comp was in mint condition when i pulled it out. No dirt, no mud. Nothing! The previous owner didn't ever go off the tarmac by the looks! Could have wrapped it and boxed it as a new one!!

Hey Tombie2 - I was born in Whyalla - live in the Territory now. I just ordered a K&N filter to sort problems with my Coopers filters always falling apart on dirt roads. I thought I was buying the bees knees with a K&N. I have also put a snorkel on to help problem and have ERG block on the way.
A note also to everyone who offered advice on getting around my air suspension problems. I bypassed compressor and bags have held up. I have ordered coil springs with 40mm lift to replace. Less than $400 for a pair from Roverparts.

The bodge-up job on the springs will get their full test on Sunday with a 400km trip from Gulf of Carpentaria back to Mataranka on a road that was destroyed by Cyclone Paul.

    Thanks again all.

Nice sounding vehicle you have there.

Suggestion though - Lose the K&N mate, no good for dust - ok in the city, but for out on dirt, put the factory filter back in.

30% larger intercooler - Good idea....

Boost box... What reason are you getting this for? To up your boost or are you suffering overboost issues?

I have always advised people where a modification will be illegal.
However, I draw 2 different lines of thought.
There is illegal and there is unsafe.... They are different creatures.

I dont see your vehicle for instance as unsafe... But the law may not like the modifications.

To answer the legality of the tubular bar in this application:

This fitment application would be classed as illegal...
No crush cans and not SRS certified.
Outrigger supports cut through the headlights projection.

How much the tubes block the light projected I cannot answer, but the fact it passes across the lens will make it illegal.

    Could be easily fixed though

Personally, I like what you've done to the truck, and it suits your use well.

the SRS problem is a very difficult one to get around ,and there are plans in changing the bars going across the lights
and yes i have done everything which would be required to have it full road legal just can not seem to get it done in my state
so i do also class my D2 as been safe

D2's looking awesome kelvin, will have to go for a wheel some time soon.

    Anyway, thought i'd post up some pics of mine as it's been a while, i can't remember what state it was in last time, but here it is now;

    (1999 TD5 Manual)
Extra's may include (as i can't remember what i said last time haha)

33" Silverstone MT-117 sports on Black sunraysia rims (16x7 with +30 offset)
    Custom sliders,
Air bag to coil conversion with HD lovell springs and bearmach shocks,
    Drawers,
More ding's and custom bendy rear panel work...atleast until the rear bar is done!

    Old things to include;

    Rear ARB air locker,
    Uniden UHF,
    ARB bar,
    IPF Lights,
    Dual batteries,

And lots of tools in the boot to keep it going!

    Cheers,
    Shamo
