yeah
Blue is an early 2001 7 seater with cdl in t/fer, not reinstated yet. looks like it should be a '99 model though i reckon with those wheels. although i am not 100% sure how to id the actual manufacture date.
Champaign is a 2001 Late model that didn't have the cdl internals, i had to retrofit them and added engagement mechanism after.

After many painstaking hours spent researching options for new tyres i have finally found a solution. It seemed for awhile that the only solution was to downsize my wheels to be able to access a decent range of Offroad tyres which presented several problems including finding aftermarket alloys ( apparently hardly anyone manufactures them for the D2) and then trying to sell the 18's. One particular dealer who shall remain nameless tried to sell me a set of 5 factory 17" alloys for $1350 (no tyres) but would not offer more than $100 each for my 5 wheels ( in perfect condition i might add!!).
Seeing that BFG produced the M/T KM2's in a 305 / 60 R18 i went to a tyre retailer to discuss whether we could squeeze them onto the 18 X 8's - short answer- NO, not without bulging sidewalls screaming out to be staked!!
Next option was BFG A/T's - sure they'll fit if you want to wait at least 2 months for em..... AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
Disheartened by it all i had just about been convinced i was up for a new set of rims when i came across the new MAXXIS range.
Wanting something with an aggressive tread pattern and sidewall protection i settled on the M/T-762 Bighorns and was stoked to see they come in a 275/65 R18 !!!
Thanks to the 2" lift supplied by the Ironman suspension upgrade and the extra clearance thanks to my winch bar they just fit and in my opinion look great!!! Now i just have to test 'em out!!!
If i have managed to do this right then i should have attached a couple of pics - chek 'em out and let me know what you think!!!!06012011039.jpg

Redslayer... Welcome to the 33's on 18's club![]()
redslayer, i have fitted the 762's just a few weeks ago. they are fantastic offroad, with only a very slight bit of road noise. not bad for an aggresive tyre!
Picture says it all- as of today
