Waiting delivery, fitted snorkel today. 1.5hrs, actually an easy job. Still to go, Ashcroft ATB, Nanocom, Konis, Tyres, Woods shafts, QT radius arms. Going for a Tigerz11 rack, $350- for a rooftop tent rack can't be beaten, unless someone in vic can go get one tomorrow for me, they're having an extra 20% off at the warehouse. Anyone???

    Hi Clubgreenie,

I had a set of Koni FSD shocks fitted to my D3 about eight months ago, they lasted about four months and then crapped themselves, they replaced themm under warranty. The second set don't handle anywhere as well as they changed the dampening so they will last longer.

The shocks on the D2a were kaput as well so got a set of Bilsteins fitted last week, the ride is quite firm but the Billies handle much better then the second
set of Konis by a fair margin.

    Cheers,
    Terry

Cheers man. Not too many mods to list. 2in lift with hd springs all round, arb front bar, strongarm steel rear bar with dual tyre carrier, tom woods front shaft, front and rear diff guards, work light, muddies and some other minor things...

    Rocky,
    Your bull-bar, from a D2 to your D2a?
Recovery shackles onto the bar? Isn't that a no-no, due to the crush-cans?
    2003 D2a Auto TD5 good Landy gone
2015 D4 probably the most amazing yet, why get a RR?

Dunno about the bull bar, it came with it when i bought it. Is there any difference?

I dont know what you mean about the shackles. I thought recovery points on bull bars are fine. I always use the equaliser strap too.

The bar is attached via the crush cans which are a deformable structure. Equally they could possibly stretch under load as well.

    Hi,

Hey is my new Disco 2004. Standard at the moment. it has never been off road except the beach once. New toys on order are

    - ARB deluxe Bullbar
    -Safari snorkel
    -winch
    - 2" 45-50mm dobinsons lift with extended Bilstein shocks
-also tracking down some 16" rims to add some 265/70 r 16, instead of the 18" rims

bit of an upgrade from the 1981 Rangie.
