Also check the bunch of wires that go across the front of the engine & some go to the A/C compresser.The conduit on them had also perished & some were rubbing on something.I replaced the conduit on them as well.There's a lot of wires in the bunch.

Did notice the exact thing you mention about the other wires accross the front. Was on a bit of a roll today checking stuff like that. Must be this strange dry weather we are having in Melb.
