Maybe instead of the AULRO discount on the unit, Colin could offer the extra unlock code of your choice for free. Works out about the same

C'mon Colin, sounds like a good deal to me!!

    Thanks Ian
    We try our best

We do sometimes screw up and get torpedoed by customs, but it's pretty rare

Re support, I really cannot pretend that my guys are anything like up to speed on this system yet, as we did not develop it, but as everyone knows, we really do know our stuff and have years of experience, we are therefore presently going through the system with a fine tooth comb, testing absolutely everything and noting anything that needs addressing. But at least now you will get an answer.

IceFyre, sorry if Ronnie confused you, i will have a boss like word The Nanocom is deffo included in the 10% discount for established members.

    LOVEMYRANGIE:
    Nice Try Andrew

I have no problem helping out as best i can and have already contacted Paul with a couple of options that are already above and beyond.

But there is a limit and you have to be fair.

Most seem to think and assume i took over the Nanocom product to either significantly hike the price up or kill a competitive product. But in reality and fairness i have done neither of these.
What i have done is improve availability and support and added a discount structure.

It does not take a genius to recognize that the Nanocom Evolution is already the best value for money diagnostic system on the market and backed by BBS know how and support, it is exactly as Ian says, a real bargain, even at the regular web shop price.

    Colin, don't mind us aussies.
we have a tendancy to complain about the price of everything. i know i commented earlier re the extra addons, however i corrected myself so please forgive.
i am sure if you could give the unit to us for free there would still be aussies complaining about having to pay for the postage. it astounds me sometimes the mentality of people . i regularly get ppl squeezing me for price. show them the cost and they still want me to sell below cost and come up with the classic line
"your boss is making heaps he can afford to lose on this one"

anyway well done on taking on this unit and supporting it. hope it works well for you.
i will be looking at getting one of these not too far in the future.

Colin has sent some more numbers through which I will do some analysis on tonight and report my findings to the group.

Just want you guys to know that I'm not witholding information, just getting clarification before posting an update.

It is looking better than my previous post regarding pricing, but I don't want to state the price yet in case I've got it wrong.

Stay tuned, you will know soon after I do

Post midnight update: there is one price I can share that should be correct, and relates back to IceFyre's link to the AULRO discount:

    • to qualify, you must be an active AULRO Forum member with more than 50 posts and at least 6 months membership
    • it is a one-off offer for first time BBS customers
    • you check-out at the BBS shop and Enter AURLO1 in the Promo Code box
    • Send Colin (BBS Guy) a PM with your order reference number
    • wait for BBS to contact you with the final price
    • pay it and your goods will ship

(dot points are a summary of the BBS offer)

BBS Web Shop Price for a Nanocom Evolution to suit (one of) Defender TD5, Defender Puma or Disco II TD5 is $442.52 AUD (VAT does not apply).

10% AULRO Discount brings the buy price down to $398.27 AUD

Allow $50 AUD for shipping via EMS DataPost, so price becomes $448.27 AUD.

If you do an International Money Transfer (IMT) expect your bank to charge you $20-25 (CBA charges $22). New total = $470.27
    or
If you do a PayPal transaction (by arrangement with BBS), add 3%. New Total = $461.72

Now you can see what we are aiming to beat to make the group buy worthwhile

    Cheers, Paul.

I think the BBS folks are still trying to interpret my "what if and how" questions

If my calculations are correct, and with the generous shipping discount that Colin has offered me to facilitate this "deal", I think we can get a Nanocom Evolution (Disco 2 TD5, Defender TD5, or Defender Puma) delivered to your door for just under $450... and that includes a Tax Invoice inclusive of GST from Hard Range Australia Pty Ltd.

So, if you can claim the GST component of the sale the Nanocom will effictively cost you around $405 if you get it through this group buy.

I'm taking my better half to the Sting concert at the Sydney Opera House on Thursday night, and will be returning to HRA HQ (aka home) on Saturday night. My kids (grown up, in age anyway) and Hell-Hounds (pic attached of what the "clever" Boxer did to her bed tonight) will still be here but they aren't much help when it comes to responding to HRA enquires . I will be contactable via mobile (0412 012 025), Blackberry e-mail (info@hardrange.com) and maybe via this forum on iPad, depending on mood and sobriety level

Forum replies are good to share info with the group, although if you actually want to contact me quickly, please e-mail me direct at info@hardrange.com

I always try to reply within 24 hours... and mostly within 1-8 hours... please check your SPAM or Junk-Mail folders if you haven't got my reply sooner. If I ask for a Read Reciept it is only to confirm that you got my message ok.

On Saturday night or Sunday I will collate the EOI'ers and seek confirmation of intent at the agreed price.

    Cheers, Paul.

Expect to have them ordered by mid-2nd week in Feb when funds arrive from firm EOI'ers, and delivered to you by end of Feb.
