thanks for the reply. i already ensure i have the car on run(engine off) and can do many functions that the bcu module allows. i use the nanocom in standalone mode. i'll have to wait for nanocom to reply to my email.
I found, the ignition has to be on to write settings to the BCU. In the Valeo BCU "Settings" section when you change a setting and write, it should not send a signal to the door lock controller. To properly test if the changes have worked, Nanocom needs to be disconnected. Test using the key fob for activating the door locks.
Also, be careful you don't accidentally change other settings with the mouse. Sometimes hovering over the toggle arrows will change settings inadvertently.
Cheers

You guys are lucky . I am frustrated with my set up. I am not sure if its the Nanocom software or the PC . Have been trying to install updates, but getting the unable to open serial port message . I can hook up the Nanocom to the software after much fiddling and a few words of encouragement @#$% but when i shut down the computer the port closes too ( or is it supposed to ? ) Cheers George
Simon are you setting the Setting. or are you performing the test? running the test locks and then keeps on locking until you tell it off. im not in front of it at the moment.. but i think that is what you may be doing... there are settings and tests if i remember right all in the same page..
Thanks
Steve
