Same sort of vintage as the old Tojo, which i was amazed kept going.
The 100 series was not that good, the fan often broke, ending up through the rad...
Same as the occasional D2,but maybe we were lucky.

I've had my D2 up to the wipers. I wasn't driving sensibly, this was in flood waters and I simply assumed the bridge was still there somewhere. Stoopid, I know. The trailer I had was floating and got pushed at right angle due to the flow. ( It was a vary long way to reverse the trailer, box trailers are a pig to reverse behind a D2, it was a long way to go around........ and a very short trip to drowning if it had gone wrong. Never forgotten how idiotic that was )
Bloody glad the thing kept going. Bow wave helped.
One year at Wombat we had a D2 TD5 stranded after a deep puddle with water in the ECU. He just dove in. Kyle ( Alien ) spent time helping, cleaning and drying and the car drove home. He might have had trouble seeing in the dark as the headlights were full of brown wet stuff.
The OKA's intake is about two metres off the ground. Course, If I took it that deep I'd need a snorkel as well. Thing leaks.
Ronny Dahl on youtube has just taken delivery of a Grenadier for a long term (6 month) test run, hes also been given the green light to do any mods he likes to it.
Also watched some US based channels where they are giving them a suspension lift and wheel/tyre upgrades as well as custom winch bars.
If you think the Ineos is heavy, have a look at this.

I just say the vid next meridian expedition made (they are traveling oz right now with their defender). Catastrophic engine failure, that's a bummer. Anyway. They got picked up and hookup op with a land rover mechanic that arrived in... a grenadier.
Now that's a statement :D

Also, what a legend. That guy just picked them up off the road and helped out with initial fault seeking and put them up even. If all you ozzies are like that I think I can feel safe to break down ;)
I'd rather not of course [bighmmm]
