Or is that a replica built by the CIA to confuse the aliens?

Or is the CIA confused because the aliens don't know that it was actually the illuminati, who borrowed it from Elvis after he ate it?

Depends, is it missing the flapperon? (when did that even become a word/thing?)

    Good question !

I haven't flown for twenty years, but way back in the mists of time light planes had flaps so I had lift when going slow and they had ailerons so I could turn, maybe a flaperon multi-tasks ?

I learnt to fly fifty years ago on a Victa Airtourer - and it had flapperons. the wing flaps move with the ailerons, and the ailerons move with the flaps (they also have a split flap under the fuselage, so effectively they have full span flaps, enabling them to get away with higher wing loading than anything comparable).

But, although I have used the word flapperon to describe these for probably at least twenty years, I can't remember for sure whether the word was in use fifty years ago!

flapperon, imagination both ailerons at 10deg down but still responding to control input. IE neutral is 10deg down bank left, is left 5deg down and right is 15 deg down

    and then there is spoilers

No idea what a flaperon is, so I looked it up. Only a very small part of the Aircraft, does anyone think more wreckage will be afloat? Bob
