whilst at Nui Dat in 1967, the Canberra would fly at seemingly tree top height, slow and quiet, don't really know for what purpose.

    Good article Pedro

the last time I saw them flying was in 1981 in Malaysia where they towed target banners for the now defunct Mirages.

In slow flight envelope they were deceptively quiet

I've always regretted that I missed out on a flight in one.

Back in about 1964 I was in the air cadets. I did the Corporals' Course at Amberley and ended up as Dux of Queensland Squadron (I still have the trophy) and the prize included a flight in a Canberra. The day before the flight I got sick so missed out.

I went to school, Harristown High School Toowoomba, with Robert Carver, whose Canberra was lost over Vietnam, & whose body was only returned to Toowoomba in 2009.
