I loved it, great entertainment regardless of being staged or not, as for the 3 wheel drive Suzi when it was trying to drive up the bank at the start they said only one wheel was spinning, that does not make it three wheel drive as it's an open diff and you would expect only one wheel to be spinning, i think it's more a case of presenters not knowing what they are looking at. Also find it funny that May is afraid of heights yet is a pilot.
I think it is more a case of giving them a great opportunity later in the show to claim that one of their vehicles was 2WD, one was 3WD and one was 4WD. As always, they were more interested in a good one liner than accurate information.
After all you didn't take them seriously when they claimed in another episode that when you put your foot down in that Mercedes they were testing, that it had so much torque that it spun the earth backwards. Why should the 3WD comment be taken any more seriously? It was meant to be a witty comment, not an accurate piece of information.
BTW, the sensation of height in a plane is quite different from the sensation of height on the edge of a cliff. At least it was for me when I used to fly a glider and when I did some rock climbing.

Great episode, enjoyed it all, and it is entertainment, which is why it rates so highly.
anyone else noticed the bit where the range rover has just pulled jeremy out of the river ( whilst still on the barge) has got the sound of a diesel engine dubbedd onto it!
my favorite bit is when Clarkson pulls the SJ up the river bank
Clarkson: There's only an ounce to pull
May: Please be gentle Jeremy, and not a yob
Clarkson: POWER!!!! [he floors it!]
The Rangie was great and the others weren't much good, particulary the Toyo.
